Modern Photography and How Does it Change Our Art?

Speaker: Greg Newington

More than ever before we are in the midst of change as to how photography is perceived interpreted and experienced.

It’s important to understand the role of traditional photographic disciplines when preparing ourselves for the contemporary attitudes to modern photography.

Photography has undergone enormous changes over such a short time that it seems that it's increasingly more common to hear the lament that there is now, more than ever, inaccuracy and manipulation of images to the extent that one is unable to say for sure what is real or unreal.

The debate over just about every new technique or new technology has been a consistent and sometimes the confusing element of the evolvement of photography since it first appeared.

So how does it change our art?
